Job description
Beaverkill Valley Inn is seeking a hands-on, resourceful Property Manager to help lead the daily operations of our growing hospitality property in the Catskill Mountains.
This is not a desk job. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, leading a team, and taking pride in maintaining a beautiful property where guests come to relax, connect with nature, and create lasting memories.
The Property Manager serves as a key leader on the property, overseeing maintenance operations, housekeeping support, groundskeeping, guest issue resolution, and the overall functionality of the resort. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable troubleshooting a boiler issue, coordinating snow removal, helping a housekeeper solve a problem, or ensuring guests have an exceptional experience.

Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boilers, and mechanical equipment.
Implement preventative maintenance programs to keep facilities operating efficiently.
Coordinate outside contractors and service providers as needed.
Respond quickly to maintenance issues and emergencies.
Team Leadership
Serve as the Manager on Duty during morning operations.
Supervise housekeeping and maintenance staff.
Provide coaching, support, and accountability while fostering a positive work environment.
Help establish a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and service.
Guest Experience
Serve as a primary point of contact for guest concerns during your shift.
Resolve issues thoughtfully and professionally.
Take initiative to identify and address problems before they impact the guest experience.
Grounds & Outdoor Facilities
Oversee maintenance of trails, recreational facilities, outdoor gathering spaces, and seasonal amenities.
Coordinate snow removal and seasonal property preparations.
Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and visually appealing environment throughout the property.
Inventory & Vendor Management
Monitor and order housekeeping, cleaning, and maintenance supplies.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate service schedules.
Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
Administration & Planning
Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and supply inventories.
Participate in budgeting and project planning.
Attend bi-weekly management meetings and provide updates on property needs, projects, and priorities.
Who You Are
You are someone who:
Takes ownership and pride in your work.
Enjoys solving problems and finding practical solutions.
Communicates clearly and professionally.
Is comfortable leading a team while remaining hands-on.
Can prioritize multiple responsibilities and stay calm under pressure.
Understands that hospitality is ultimately about creating great experiences for guests.
