Job description
Quality Assurance & Production Liaison
Part-Time / Contract | Long Beach, CA | Minimum 3 Months
Are you someone who cares deeply about food made right, notices small details most people miss, and aces any spot-the-difference game presented to you? If so, you may be just the person we're looking for to support our production and quality assurance efforts.
As our Quality Assurance & Production Liaison, you'll be responsible for:
- Monitoring daily kitchen operations to ensure adherence to Evermore's SOPs and food safety standards by observing production in real time, conducting quality checks at various phases of production, and making sure processes are being followed consistently
- Conducting real-time inventory checks during production and confidently flagging/addressing issues with both our team and the kitchen's management
- Documenting observations, deviations, and concerns with accuracy and consistency, and communicating findings clearly and promptly to the Evermore team
- Serving as an important link between our remote team and the kitchen floor by watching carefully, communicating clearly, and speaking up immediately when issues arise
This is a part-time, as-needed contract role with a minimum three-month commitment and the possibility of extension. We're looking for someone who is observant, dependable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced production environment. Being proactive and comfortable with the agency required for in-the-moment troubleshooting is a must.
This is an active, on-your-feet role. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods in a commercial kitchen environment, which is kept at cold temperatures. While hours vary depending on production needs, workdays usually start at 6:15am and end around 2:30pm for 2-4 days per production week. Experience in a commercial kitchen or food production environment is strongly preferred, along with a working knowledge of food safety practices. Experience with film packaging is a plus.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
