Job Description
As Spice Production Associate you will serve as a foundational member of our small, focused production team. Working side-by-side with one other production team member, you will handle the daily assembly, packing, and preparation of our products in a fast-paced environment.
This is a highly physical, entry-level role requiring sharp attention to detail, technical skills, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Packing & Production: Pack raw materials and custom spice blends into various containers, including jars, tins, and bags.
Kitting: Efficiently assemble and kit specialized gift sets.
Finishing Protocols: Follow precise procedures for lot coding, heat-sealing, and labeling finished products.
Quality & Safety: Maintain quality control of all spices and packaging. Adhere strictly to food safety compliance and facility sanitation standards.
Job Requirements
Physical Demands
Stamina & Strength: Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more regularly and stand for the entirety of an 8-hour shift.
Repetitive Movement: This role requires constant, repetitive physical movements.
Language & Communication
English Fluency: Professional fluency in English is a massive benefit for safety, training, and operational coordination.
Spanish Skills: Conversational or fluent ability in Spanish is a huge positive, as you will be working closely with senior production staff who mainly speak Spanish.
Technical & Professional Skills
Technological Proficiency: Must be comfortable using basic computer systems, including navigating Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets).
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when executing lot coding, weighing, and labeling.
Reliability: A self-starter who takes initiative, works well in a small team structure, and maintains excellent attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Experience: Prior experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) production or working within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) facility.
Food Safety: Existing knowledge or certification in Food Safety is preferred.
