Hamrah’s Lebanese Foods & Takeaway is a family-owned café, 20 minutes north of Hudson, New York in Kinderhook, New York, serving fresh Lebanese-inspired wraps, bowls, salads, soups, desserts, and prepared foods rooted in the traditions and flavors of Lebanon.
We use high-quality ingredients and draw on the abundance of the Hudson Valley whenever possible, incorporating locally grown vegetables, locally raised meats, and seasonal products alongside ingredients that are essential to Lebanese cooking. We make everything from scratch, and we prepare our food in small batches to ensure freshness and flavor. We are also known for offering a wide variety of gluten-free options, as well as many vegetarian and vegan dishes, making it easy for guests with different dietary preferences to enjoy our cuisine.
Job description
We’re looking for someone who loves making good food and wants to be part of a small business where their work truly matters.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking from scratch, values consistency and hospitality, and wants to help shape what comes next for a growing food business.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll spend your days preparing and cooking food for our café and markets, including:
- Making menu items from established recipes
- Preparing soups, grains, sauces, dips, and other components
- Baking desserts
- Helping maintain a clean, organized kitchen
- Working with the rest of our small team to ensure customers receive delicious, consistent food
Some days will be busy and fast-paced. Others will be quieter and focused on prep and production. Both are important parts of the job.
