Rita & Maria is a small café located in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. We're looking for an experienced baker to join our team and help us maintain the quality and consistency of our products.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced baker to handle morning bake shifts and batch prep. This is a part-time position, ideal for someone with solid baking experience who can work independently and as part of a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

Baking and preparing a variety of pastries and baked goods from scratch
Preparing larger batches of doughs and pastries
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
Following food safety guidelines and ensuring product quality
Collaborating with the team to meet daily production needs

Schedule:

Days: tuesday/wednesday & saturday/sunday
Hours: 21-28 hours per week (based on production needs)
Morning shifts

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of professional baking experience
Food Handler’s Certification required
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
