Job description
As we continue to expand, we are searching for the right individual to build and lead an HR department, managing Human Resources functions across the restaurant group which includes about 150 employees working across the 4 restaurants and commissary space. The group will grow to include 7-10 restaurants over the next 3 years and 200-300 employees, making this a dynamic opportunity.
About you: You might be the right fit if you have at least 2-3 years of experience in HR, and at least a few years of experience working in a restaurant setting. You enjoy challenging yourself and your team to grow and get great results, you are passionate about food and restaurants, and you can roll up your sleeves as well as see the big picture. Fluency or exposure to Spanish language is a big plus in this role.
About us: We are working in complex environments– Hospitals, hotels, restaurants, production kitchens, bars. We're resourceful and still a small but mighty team. We're a start-up company run by experienced founders, meaning we're very much building the plane while we're flying it (like a start-up) but we have a really clear sense of where we want to go, why, and how.
Success in this role:
• Take full responsibility for the continuity of existing systems: payroll processing (Paylocity, Paycom, Toast), employee onboarding, employee life cycle functions, benefits administration.
• Once the existing processes are functioning well, work to improve the processes including leveraging technology and establishing better administrative practices.
• Provide ongoing support to executive team including employee performance management documentation and employee assistance.
• Track completion of Ecco training programs for each new hire, manage biweekly orientation, and serve as a resource for staff.
• Assist with recruitment processes across locations including managing job listings, filtering resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background and reference checks, compiling executive summaries for management roles, and managing offer letters.
• Keep growing with us... the growth potential for this role includes an expanding scope as the company takes on new projects.
