Company description
We are building a new nonprofit institute focused on regenerative agriculture, land stewardship, hospitality, and education on a historic 300-acre campus in Central Arizona. We are seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to join the founding team and work directly alongside the founding Executive Director during a pivotal stage of growth.
This is a rare opportunity to help build an organization from the ground up while living and working on a remarkable (Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired) historic campus surrounded by stunning ranch land, gardens, and open space.
Why This Role Is Different
- Housing provided on campus
- Work directly with executive leadership
- Join the founding team of a growing institute
- Opportunity to help shape systems, culture, and operations
- Diverse work spanning nonprofit management, events, hospitality, partnerships, and special projects
- Beautiful rural Arizona setting with easy access to Sedona, Phoenix, Prescott, and Flagstaff
- Significant growth potential as the organization expands
The campus includes more than a hundred existing buildings (homes, dorms, dining hall, library, classrooms, etc.) and infrastructure that once supported a long-standing educational institution. We're reimagining and bringing this (Hogwarts vibes, but make it Western 1930s) campus back to life through a new vision and operating model.
While we are in an early stage of development, building systems and programs from the ground up, we are doing so within the context of a nearly 100-year legacy of land stewardship on this property. This dual reality, a new enterprise emerging within an established physical campus and a deeply rooted history, shapes how we approach both our work and our community.
Our model integrates hands-on learning, hospitality, and land stewardship.
We are a small, dedicated team building something meaningful within an already remarkable physical setting, and we are looking for people who want to contribute to that process.
Job description
We are looking for a highly organized, service-oriented person to work alongside the Executive Director as we bring a historic Arizona campus back to life.
This role is equal parts executive support, hospitality, communications, and special projects. One day you may be coordinating schedules, preparing meeting materials, and helping manage priorities. The next, you may be welcoming visitors to campus, coordinating a team gathering, helping prepare for a donor visit, or ensuring a workshop runs smoothly.
The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys helping people, creating order from complexity, and making others feel cared for. They are proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where no two days are the same.
This is not a traditional desk job. We are building something new, and we're looking for someone who is excited to be part of a small, collaborative team shaping the future of regenerative agriculture, education, hospitality, and land stewardship.
Responsibilities
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Director
• Manage calendars, scheduling, travel logistics, and meeting coordination
• Assist with communications, correspondence, and follow-up
• Welcome guests, partners, donors, and visitors to campus
• Support hospitality and event preparation
• Coordinate special projects and operational tasks as needed
• Help maintain systems, records, and organizational processes
• Serve as a connector between staff, contractors, and external partners
Qualifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Warm, professional, and service-oriented demeanor
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Hospitality, nonprofit, education, or event experience is a plus
• Interest in regenerative agriculture, food systems, culinary arts, art, education, or community-building is a plus
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in supporting others, and wants to help create a memorable experience for everyone who interacts with our campus.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
