Job description
Spilt Milk Collective · NYC-based, with travel · Starting immediately
Spilt Milk Collective is a culinary production studio creating food, beverage, and event experiences for brands, weddings, and private clients — from intimate dinners to large-scale outdoor activations. We’re hiring a Producer to own the nuts and bolts of our productions end to end, beginning with a flagship project this fall and continuing into ongoing work.
This is a project-based role with real room to grow into a core seat on our team. We’re looking for a right hand — someone who runs production so well that things move forward without being asked.
The role
Own vendor, rental, and staffing coordination from first outreach through on-site execution — complete, decision-ready, handled.
Work directly with chefs, rental companies, and venues to source, schedule, and solve problems in real time.
Set up and run kitchens in outdoor and non-traditional venues, including spaces with no existing kitchen infrastructure.
Build and run timelines, run-of-show, and the production details that keep a multi-vendor event on track.
Represent SMC to clients in writing and on calls — clear, polished, trusted to send without review.
Run point on-site: load-in, setup, service, breakdown, and the live decisions of event days.
Bring your own systems. We want someone who improves how we work, not just executes inside it.
You
3+ years in event production, catering, or high-end hospitality, including large-scale productions (required).
Experience producing outdoor events and building out kitchens in non-traditional spaces is a strong plus; live-fire cooking experience is helpful.
Fluent coordinating rentals and working hand-in-hand with chefs and kitchens.
A strong, gracious writer who can represent a brand to high-touch clients without oversight.
Organized, resourceful, and genuinely calm on a fast timeline.
Takes full ownership, communicates directly, and brings ideas — including pushing back when something can be better.
Wedding and/or multi-day production experience a strong plus.
Availability
Immediate remote availability for coordination over the coming weeks.
Full availability across September, including early- and late-month dates and some weekends.
Travel availability this fall; comfortable on-site and on your feet through long event days.
Details
Project-based to start, with ongoing project work to follow for the right person.
Project fee starting at $4,000 – commensurate with experience, with travel and accommodations covered for any on-site work.
Google Workspace required; Canva and Dubsado a plus.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
