Company description
Redhead Creamery is a farmstead, award‑winning artisan creamery in Brooten, MN, crafting handcrafted cheeses, whey‑based spirits, and farm‑to‑table eats with a focus on sustainability and quality. We marry traditional cheesemaking with inventive small-batch production, turning our cows' milk into thoughtfully aged wheels, fresh curds, and spirited whey‑based products that have earned regional recognition.
Join a close‑knit team where your hands and ideas matter. Every role — from cheesemaker and cellar assistant to hospitality staff and production technician — contributes directly to product quality and guest experience. You’ll learn time‑honored techniques and modern innovations, receive on‑the‑job training, and take pride in work that’s tangible: a finished wheel, a plated dish, a satisfied customer.
We value sustainability, curiosity, and craftsmanship. Work here means caring for animals and land, minimizing waste through creative use of whey and byproducts, and helping shape seasonal menus and small‑batch runs. The pace is real and rewarding: physical, seasonal, and rooted in farm rhythms, with opportunities for cross‑training and advancement as we grow.
If you want meaningful work in a welcoming environment — where collaboration, respect for ingredients, and a love of craft guide every day — consider applying. Bring your work ethic, willingness to learn, and passion for honest food. To apply, visit our careers page or email your resume and a short note about why Redhead Creamery inspires you.
Job description
Redhead Creamery is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our team at the Northeast Minneapolis Farmers Market this summer! We have three roles available, each supporting our presence at the market on the following Saturdays. If you're interested in splitting the three or four summer Saturdays, we still encourage you to apply:
May 23 · June 13 & 27 · July 11 & 25 · August 8 & 22 · Optional: September 12 & 26 · October 10
Position 1: Northeast Farmers Market Coordinator Hours: ~7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on select Saturdays (~6.5 hours)
This is the face-of-the-brand role. As Market Coordinator, you'll represent Redhead Creamery at the Northeast Minneapolis Farmers Market, engaging customers and sharing the story behind our award-winning dairy products.
Your day starts at MSP Kitchenery (919 Dale St N, Unit 2, St. Paul) at 7:30 a.m., where you'll load up market supplies and head to the market at 629 NE 2nd St, Minneapolis — arriving in time for the 9:00 a.m. opening. You'll run the booth through the 1:00 p.m. close, then return supplies to MSP Kitchenery to wrap up your day around 2:00 p.m.
You're a great fit if you:
Love talking to people and are passionate about local food and dairy
Are organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently
Can lift and load market supplies
Have a vehicle suitable for hauling market supplies
Position 2: Northeast Farmers Market Infrastructure Specialist Hours: ~7:30 – 9:00 a.m. and 1:15 – 2:00 p.m. on select Saturdays (~2.25 hours total)
This role is perfect for someone who wants to be part of market day without staffing the booth. As the Infrastructure Specialist, you'll handle the logistics that make the Redhead Creamery market presence possible — pickup, setup, breakdown, and return.
Your morning begins at MSP Kitchenery at 7:30 a.m. You'll load supplies and transport them to the market at 629 NE 2nd St, Minneapolis, working alongside the Market Coordinator to get everything set up before the 9:00 a.m. open. After setup, your morning shift wraps up. You'll return at 1:15 p.m. to break everything down and return supplies to MSP Kitchenery by around 2:00 p.m.
You're a great fit if you:
Are reliable, punctual, and efficient
Enjoy physical, hands-on work
Have a vehicle suitable for hauling market supplies
Position 3: Northeast Farmers Market Brand Ambassador Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on select Saturdays (~4 hours)
Love people and great cheese? This is the role for you. As a Brand Ambassador, you'll be the warm, knowledgeable presence behind the Redhead Creamery booth — sampling products, answering questions, processing sales, and creating a memorable experience for every customer who stops by.
The Infrastructure Specialist handles setup and teardown, so you can focus entirely on what matters most: connecting with customers and representing our award-winning dairy products with enthusiasm and pride.
You're a great fit if you:
Are outgoing, personable, and love engaging with the public
Have an interest in local food, farming, or artisan dairy
Are comfortable handling sales transactions and product sampling
Want a fun, flexible Saturday gig without the early morning haul
Redhead Creamery is proud to offer competitive wages based on experience.
