We’re seeking an organized, forward-thinking Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate brings operational balance — someone who values mentorship, consistency, and collaboration. You’ll guide our hardworking, self-taught staff with structure and respect, while helping us continue to grow with purpose and pride.
About the role

• Build systems for prep, inventory, and smooth service
• 50 hrs/week, two days off, collaborative culture
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a dedicated kitchen team through hands-on leadership and mentorship.
- Collaborate with ownership on menu development centered on seasonality, comfort, and the North Fork region.
- Build and maintain systems for prep, inventory, and line execution.
- Strengthen communication between BOH and FOH for seamless service.
- Uphold professionalism, food safety, and accountability.
- Recruit, train, and develop future team members who share our values.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in a leadership role (Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef level).
- Proven experience managing and motivating a team of mixed skill levels. - Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Respect for local sourcing, seasonality, and sustainability.
- Calm, solution-oriented leadership style.
- A sense of humor, humility, and desire to grow with the team.
Compensation
this position is: salaried, more than $100,000
