Fatapple’s Restaurant & Bakery has been an East Bay institution since 1969 — a family-run scratch kitchen and bakery in Berkeley and El Cerrito. Everything from our pie crusts to our soups is made in-house, the same way it’s always been.
We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner at both locations, alongside a retail bakery and pie shop that’s become a local tradition. Many of our staff have been with us for years, and our regulars treat us like a second kitchen.

Job description
Bakery Manager
Fatapple’s is looking for a Bakery Manager to take the reins of our bread and pastry program. This is a chance to build something real inside a 57-year-old scratch bakery — bring your own creative vision while honoring the recipes and traditions our regulars have loved for decades.
Responsibilities:
• Run day-to-day bakery operations across both locations
• Build out a bread program (currently retail bakery, pie shop, and full-service restaurant)
• Develop new pastry offerings alongside existing recipes
• Manage and mentor bakery staff
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $30.00 - $45.00
