Company description
Hello! I’m Thomas, founder of Mr. Chompy Nut Butters (IG - @mrchompybutters).
We are trying to make the best nut butters on earth, which of course starts with ingredient sourcing! All of the nuts we use are organic, and most of them are regeneratively grown. We either buy directly from small farms, or we work with fair-trade cooperatives like Equal Exchange. And we pack our product in glass jars.
Aside from our meticulous sourcing, our product is unique for the complex textures and unique flavors we offer. Imagine a deeply aromatic and flavorful, soft pecan butter with crispy toasted coconut flakes, pieces of roasted pecan, and crunchy maple sugar crystals. That's our best seller: Maple Pecan Crunch. Most people are absolutely floored when they first try it.
We're not a One Trick Pony either. The products sell themselves and our customers are deeply grateful for our work. The other best sellers are Banana Bread Spread (pecan and hazelnut butter with freeze-dried banana), Vanilla Almond Crisp, and Pistachio Cashew Crisp. The latter two are unsweetened!
Job description
We’re looking for outgoing people to sell our product at Farmers Markets.
I'm currently looking for people to take over my Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica Pico Saturday markets. That said, I very well may try to get a spots at the following other markets: Malibu (Sunday), Encino (Sunday), Riviera Village (Sunday), Laguna Beach (Saturday), Costa Mesa (Sunday), Atwater Village (Sunday), Hollywood (Sunday), Westchester (sunday), Beverly Hills (Sunday), and other markets in Orange County.
Your success relies on volume sampling. It's ideal if you are able to engage with multiple people at once - this is easier to do/learn than it might sound.
The pay is $200 per market + commission when you exceed your market's sales average. I also pay 0.70 cents per mile from my apartment to and from your market. If you have brand ambassador experience, I'm open to paying more. I also pay 0.70 cents per mile from my apartment to and from your market.
You will need a car to pick up the product from my apartment in Leimert Park (close to West Adams) then drop it back off after the market. The kit will potentially fit in a sedan, but will fit easier in a hatchback, wagon, or SUV.
The role also consists of:
Setting up the table and tent (if its an outdoor market)
Actively sampling the product
Packing up the setup
We start with a paid, 2-hour training day, which can be extended if needed. If this goes well, you will be given that market.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
In the near future, I may also need additional help in my kitchen. This would pay $23/hour. If you are interested in this, please reach out so I can consider you when I expand my production hours!
