Job description

First Village Coffee Bakery is seeking a dependable, energetic, and detail-oriented Baker's Assistant to support our daily bakery operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in producing high-quality baked goods, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the baker in preparing breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Measure, mix, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and food safety standards.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and baking equipment as needed.
  Package, label, and display baked goods for sale.
• Help monitor inventory and restock ingredients and supplies.
• Receive and organize deliveries.
• Support opening and closing bakery duties.
• Work collaboratively with the bakery and café team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Previous bakery, kitchen, or food service experience is preferred.
• Ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $16.50 - 20/hr
