Job description
We're looking for a friendly, organized, and enthusiastic Farm Store & CSA Associate to join our team immediately.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, has an eye for beautiful food presentation, and is excited to represent a thriving local farm. While you'll help operate our Farm Store, a major component of this position is managing our on-farm CSA pickup experience.
Each week, you'll prepare and present the CSA harvest, welcome members as they arrive, answer questions about the week's vegetables and add-ons, and help create an experience that makes people excited to return to the farm week after week. You'll become a familiar face to hundreds of members throughout the season and play an important role in building lasting relationships with our community.
For candidates interested in learning more about agriculture or increasing their hours, there is also the opportunity to supplement store shifts with work alongside our field crew.
What You'll Do
CSA Program:
- Prepare and present weekly CSA shares and pickup displays
- Welcome CSA members and provide a warm, engaging pickup experience
- Answer questions about vegetables, storage, recipes, and farm offerings
- Coordinate member pickups and help resolve questions or issues
- Manage CSA add-ons and ensure pickups run smoothly and efficiently
- Support the U-Pick experience and help members navigate the farm
- Serve as a key ambassador for the farm, creating an exceptional member experience
Farm Store:
- Welcome customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions
- Restock produce and retail products throughout the day
- Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Help receive deliveries and stock shelves
Optional field work may include harvesting, washing produce, transplanting, weeding, or other seasonal farm tasks.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate loves making people feel welcome. They're energized by conversations about food, enjoy creating beautiful displays, and take pride in helping customers and CSA members feel connected to the farm. They are organized, dependable, and excited to represent Ecolibrium as one of the first people visitors meet when they arrive.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive, friendly attitude
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the shift
- Interest in local food, farming, cooking, or sustainability
- Weekend availability (preferred)
- Retail, grocery, farmers market, hospitality, or food service experience is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Perks
- Starting pay: $18.50–$20.50/hour, depending on experience
