Big Picture Farm is a small, dynamic working farm and confectionery in Vermont. We raise dairy goats, craft award-winning goat milk caramels and chocolates, grow flowers and vegetables, and host farm stays. Our team is close-knit, hard-working, and creative, and we’re looking for another versatile, curious, hands-on person to join us. We are Animal-Welfare Approved, are 100% solar powered and use zero virgin plastics in all of our packaging.

Confectioner / Farmhand — Big Picture Farm
Location: Big Picture Farm, rural southern Vermont Schedule: Full-time (~40 hrs/week), including some weekends · Start: as soon as available Pay: $20-26/hour to start, with a raise at one year (or sooner, depending on experience) Housing: Beautiful, subsidized on-farm housing available to rent — a tiny house or an apartment Term: We're hoping for someone who wants to stay 1–3 years or longer

Big Picture Farm is a small, family-run goat dairy and confectionary on a Vermont hillside, known for our goat-milk caramels and chocolates. We're looking for a confectioner who loves good food and wants to live inside the full rhythm of a working farm.

Your main work is in the confectionary — making caramel, chocolate bonbons, and other confections; keeping a spotless, well-run kitchen; and helping manage inventory and production. If you love craft, cleanliness, and making beautiful things by hand, this is the heart of the job.

We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate about food and excited to make confections at a high standard
Physically up for it — able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet all day in the kitchen
Reliable, communicative, self-motivated, and happy working independently

Genuinely drawn to rural life on a small, diversified farm

Takes great pride in keeping a kitchen clean and the end products consistent and delicious!

Compensation
