Company description
Late Bloomer Ranch is a working farm in the shadow of the Tetons, in Driggs, Idaho. Started in 2019 with a vision of raising exceptional meat with high standards for animal welfare and grazing alike, Late Bloomer now produces pastured pork, eggs, and cut-flowers, with beef coming soon.
LBR operates with a small team, mixed of part and full-time employees, some of whom live on-site. We are family run in the sense that I am a working mom with two daughters, and consider the compatability of every team member with my family dynamic. We prioritize healthy work-life boundaries, manageable workloads, and positive attitudes in the workplace.
I started this because I wanted to see meat, specifically pork done differently. All I had been exposed to was an extractive, industrialized model that denigrated the animals, the land, and the people producing the food. In that model, there was no room for Goodness or Beauty. That's what I'm trying to change, however slowly, in the integrated operations at Late Bloomer Ranch.
"Food that feeds you back" isn't a tagline so much as the actual rule. Food and land should restore something in you, not just take your money and your attention. Everything else — deliveries, spreadsheets, chore lists — is just the logistics of keeping that promise.
Job description
Late Bloomer Ranch is a regenerative, pasture-raised farm in Teton Valley producing pork, eggs, and flowers, built on the idea that food should give back rather than take. We're a small, close-knit operation and this role is central to keeping product moving and the backend organized.
What you'll do:
- Coordinate and run local deliveries (pork, eggs, flowers) to customers and wholesale accounts
- Pack and ship orders through UPS and shopify
- Manage order fulfillment and inventory tracking
- Support backend/admin tasks — order prep, basic recordkeeping, communication with customers
- Step in on animal chores and general farm tasks as needed
- Help keep the week's logistics running smoothly across a small team
- Staff the weekly farm shop
- Help with event planning and larger outreach projects
- Purchase supplies
- Drop off and pickup livestock
What we're looking for:
- Drivers License and compatibility with our insurance
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Comfortable with basic logistics/admin work (order tracking, simple systems, communication)
- Willing and able to pitch in on physical chore work when needed
- Organized, self-directed, good communicator
- Must be available Tuesday–Saturday specifically — no flexibility on days
- Authorized to work in the US
- Willingness to obtain an Idaho food handler card if we need it down the line (not required now)
- Comfortable with basic tech/systems — Shopify order prep, simple spreadsheets, professional customer communication
- Comfortable around large livestock
- Background check required
- Comfortable being around our family day-to-day — this is a working homeschool household
You might be a great fit if you:
- Find real satisfaction in tending something bigger than yourself — this is a small, growing operation, not a task list
- Enjoy interfacing with customers. This is people-oriented work
- Are genuinely a self-starter, but also thrive within clear structure and routine — you don't need to be micromanaged, and you don't need to reinvent how things are done
- Follow through without being chased down; organized and accountable are just how you operate
- Genuinely enjoy being around kids — this is a family-run, homeschooling household
- Help because it feels good to help, not because you feel responsible for managing everyone else's experience
- Like a dynamic workplace where the day's tasks can shift, and you can roll with it
- Show up steady and even-keeled — you don't need much managing beyond the actual work
- Let your work speak for itself
Position begins ASAP. Ask about onsite rental housing if you are interested.
