Job description
At Loomie's Luncheonette, we're more than just a sandwich shop. We're a neighborhood gathering place serving thoughtfully made comfort food, great coffee, and warm hospitality. We're looking for a line cook who takes pride in making consistently delicious food, works well with a small team, and enjoys being part of a positive, community-focused environment.
What You'll Do
* Prepare sandwiches, soups, salads, breakfast items, and daily specials to Loomie's standards
* Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation in every dish
* Prep ingredients and restock stations throughout the day
* Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times
* Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready for service
* Wash dishes and help keep the dish area running smoothly
* Receive and rotate inventory using FIFO practices
* Communicate inventory needs before supplies run low
* Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining a calm, positive attitude
* Assist with daily opening and closing kitchen responsibilities
* Contribute ideas for seasonal specials and menu development
We're Looking For Someone Who
* Has line cook or prep cook experience
* Works cleanly, efficiently, and with attention to detail
* Is dependable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
* Can multitask and stay organized during busy shifts
* Enjoys working as part of a small, supportive team
* Shares our passion for hospitality and great food
