I started Steph’s Fresh, a small-batch sauce company, to provide people with simple meal solutions that tastes homemade. My sauces can be tossed with protein, pasta, or veggies to create easy, flavorful meals without spending hours cooking. My current flavors are Basil Pesto, Lemon Caper, Marry Me, Spicy Chipotle, Cilantro Lime (vegan), and Pink Marinara (vegan). Steph’s Fresh is for anyone who wants real, delicious food without dedicating hours in the kitchen with time or energy you simply don’t have. My sauces are made to help you eat well on busy days - whether you’re cooking for one, feeding a family, or just trying to make dinner feel easier.

Job description

This is a customer-facing role for someone who enjoys talking to people, offering samples, and creating a fun and welcoming experience while driving strong sales. This position requires independently managing the booth during market hours. You will be the primary representative of the brand, responsible for engaging customers, offering samples, processing sales, and maintaining a professional and welcoming booth experience throughout the day. Employee will be responsible for setup, sales, and breakdown of the booth.

There are two positions available - Booth Assistant and Booth Leader.

Booth Assistant

Pay: $20/hour

Responsibilities:

· Arrive approximately 1.5 hours before market opening to set up booth, tent, tables, banners, and displays

· Prepare and offer samples to customers throughout the market

· Engage with customers and confidently sell products

· Operate POS/payment system and accurately handle cash and card transactions

· Keep booth clean, organized, and fully stocked during market hours

· Break down and clean up booth after the market closes

· Collect data on customer preferences and feedback to inform marketing strategies and vendor improvements

· Take videos/pictures of booth/market to send to owner for posting on social media account

Booth Leader

Pay: $25/hour

Responsibilities:

· Picking up booth supplies from Amped Kitchen (230 W Ave 26, Los Angeles, CA 90031).

· Driving to the farmer's market

· Setting up the booth

· Running sales throughout the market (same responsibilities as booth assistant)

· Breaking down the booth

· Returning supplies to the kitchen afterward

Since the Booth Leader role requires using your own vehicle to transport the booth and supplies, mileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS standard business mileage rate (currently 72.5¢ per mile).

Qualifications

- Detail-oriented and organized

- Comfortable handling money and using a POS system

- Able to lift and move tables, bins, and market supplies

- Can consistently attend every market and arrive on time

- Ability to work independently and professionally represent the brand

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and enjoys interacting with people. The right person is positive, hardworking, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while providing excellent customer service.

Previous experience in retail, sales, food service, hospitality, events, farmers markets, or as a brand ambassador is helpful but not required. We're happy to train the right person who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for representing our brand.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
