Job description
Miller's Bio Farm is a regenerative farm producing raw A2/A2 dairy, 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef, pasture-raised eggs, and other traditionally-made natural farm foods. We're a family-run operation rooted in old-fashioned farming practices, and we're building a growing community of customers who care about real food, transparency, and where their food comes from. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn our farm from the ground up and help tell its story.
Position Overview
The Marketing Assistant supports the farm's marketing and communications efforts by spending the majority of their time on the farm, learning our animals, our processes, and our people, so that the content, campaigns, and materials they help create are authentic and accurate. This role blends creative work (writing, content, campaigns) with technical work (website updates, data and reporting) and requires someone comfortable moving between the barn and the laptop.
What You'll Do
Farm & Culture Immersion
On-farm presence: Spend approximately 70% of your time on the farm, working alongside our team to understand daily operations, and our production processes.
Farm culture: Learn and reflect our farm's values, story, and voice so that marketing materials are grounded in real, first-hand knowledge, not guesswork.
Customer knowledge: Develop a working understanding of farming, farm foods, and the farm-food customer, including why they choose raw dairy, grass-fed beef, and pasture-raised products.
Data, Reporting & Strategy
Metrics & analysis: Find, track, and analyze marketing and sales metrics (email performance, website traffic, social engagement, campaign results, etc.).
Spreadsheets & reports: Build and maintain spreadsheets and reports that turn raw data into clear takeaways for the team.
Campaign strategy: Help plan and strategize marketing campaigns and activities, both near-term (weekly/monthly promotions) and long-term (seasonal launches, brand initiatives).
Website & Technical
Light coding: Understand basic HTML and CSS well enough to make small edits and troubleshoot formatting issues.
Platform management: Edit, test, and update website content on platforms such as GrazeCart and Shopify, product pages, layouts, images, and copy.
Content & Brand
Brand alignment: Read and digest brand documents, guidelines, and messaging, and apply them consistently across marketing materials.
Content creation: Assist with writing and producing content for email, social media, and the website that reflects the farm's voice and values.
Events
Event organizing: Help plan and organize farm events and outside meet-ups, including logistics, materials, and follow-up.
What We're Looking For
Personality
Friendly and outgoing.
A “people person” who enjoys connecting with customers, coworkers, and the farm community.
Skills & Experience
Genuine interest in farming, regenerative agriculture, and traditional/whole foods.
Strong writer with attention to detail and a good ear for brand voice.
Basic comfort with data, building spreadsheets, spotting trends, summarizing findings.
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, or willingness to learn quickly.
Experience with (or willingness to learn) GrazeCart, Shopify, or similar eCommerce platforms.
Organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
A collaborative, teachable attitude, comfortable both taking direction and offering ideas.
