Myers Produce is a woman-owned regional distributor and trucking company operating out of hubs in Western Massachusetts and Northern Vermont. We offer distribution, freight, and warehousing services to farmers and producers throughout our region. We source from within the Northeast as a rule, and the majority of our sources are certified organic. We carry fresh produce, fresh fruit, eggs, meat, cheese, grains, flowers, and grocery products. Our customers are predominantly independent retail stores and restaurants in New York City, the Greater Boston Area, the Cape, and the Hudson Valley.
Job description
Myers Produce is a regional distributor, transporting fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, meat, cheese, and grains from farms in the Northeast to wholesale customers in NYC, Boston, and throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont. We are a small and dedicated team that values the opportunity to support local and regional small farms and businesses. We are currently hiring for a position as a Delivery Driver for our NYC team.
Our delivery routes involve driving a 26-ft box truck, 18-ft box truck, or transit van. The position would include delivering and receiving products throughout NYC and the surrounding areas. We strive to be productive and to enjoy the work that we do together. Our culture is rooted in positive feedback and we encourage all of our team members to offer their ideas on how to make things work better for the company, the employees, and our customers.
This position would generally include a total of approximately 15-20 hours per week with the opportunity to pick up more shifts as needed.
Schedule will include 2x driving shifts.

The ideal candidate for this position:
- Has experience driving up to 26-ft box truck in urban areas (or has experience driving smaller trucks and is willing to be trained!)
- Is observant, has excellent attention to detail
- Adapts well to the changes and surprises that are inevitable in our line of work
- Enjoys problem-solving
- Proficient communicator
- Understands how critical their role is to Myers Produce
- Likes physical work, is able to lift 40-50 lb boxes
- Experience using delivery equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Has a smartphone
Requirements:
A clean driving record required to fulfill job duties
Driver's license required to fulfill job duties
