Position: Part -Time Farmer
Position Summary
Ethos Farm to Health is seeking an experienced Part-Time Farmer to join our growing farm team. Working closely with the Farm Manager and fellow team members, this individual will play an integral role in the daily operations of our certified organic farm. Responsibilities include supporting crop production, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and organic certification requirements, assisting with harvests and customer needs, and helping the team meet seasonal goals and timelines. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about regenerative agriculture, enjoys working collaboratively, and is committed to continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
Growing & Production
Support the execution of annual and seasonal crop plans, including crop rotation, field mapping, seeding schedules, transplanting, cultivation, pest/weed management, irrigation, and harvesting.
Support organic certification standards and ensure compliance with regenerative and soil-building practices.
Support crop health and implement sustainable solutions focused on soil biology, biodiversity, and minimal inputs.
Support tracking yields, harvest data, and field performance to improve future planning and efficiency.
Support a collaborative work culture where ideas are welcomed, problems are solved together, and everyone feels valued and empowered.
Market & Post-Harvest
Support harvest planning based on market needs, events and programs, and food access partnerships.
Support wash/pack area efficiency, quality control, and food safety standards.
Support the collaboration with the Community/Events Manager to determine farm focus and product storytelling for social media and newsletter.
Systems & Administration
Support workflows to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Support guidelines set by The Ethos Farm to Health Manager concerning farm budget.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Ability to perform manual labor such as bending, kneeling, and carrying for extended periods.
Qualifications
Experience in organic vegetable production, ideally on a diversified farm using regenerative or no-till methods.
Ability to operate farm tools and equipment (BCS and hand tools required; tractor experience a plus).
Strong organizational skills, time management, and ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for regenerative agriculture, soil health, and feeding the community.
Requirements
Flexible work schedule including weekends
Up to 20 hours per week.
Familiar with Microsoft 365, Teams, and Excel a plus.
Participation in Ethos events, tours, classes and meetings.

Reporting
Reports to the Ethos Farm to Health Farm Manager
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
Reports to and works directly with the Ethos Farm to Health Farm Manager daily.

Compensation
this position is: hourly, $15.49 - 20/hr
