Job description
Seeking part-time kitchen staff on an urban farm and retreat center in Berkeley. This is a dynamic position helping to nourish guests of multi-day retreats and special events like weddings, b'mitzvahs, and birthday parties.
Our kitchen is inclusive, respectful, and low drama with high standards. We work hard to honor the needs of our staff and the needs of our guests, providing thoughtful, healthy, pescatarian food with global influences.
We're looking for people with some kitchen experience, or a commitment to learning quickly to join our kitchen team. Opportunities to contribute to all aspects of kitchen operations including: food prep, cooking, plating, washing dishes, cleaning, and kitchen shutdown.

QUALIFICATIONS
CA food safety certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Variable, part-time, events-based schedule up to 30 hours per week
A mix of weekend and weekday shifts
Good Availability (Opening shifts beginning as early as 6:30 am, Closing shifts no later than 11 pm)
