Job description
Maple Wind Farm in Richmond, VT has a growing on-farm store and home delivery program, and we are seeking reliable, detail-oriented people to join our team.
We are hiring both full- and part-time staff.
Store and Fulfillment Team members support the daily operations of our store, home and wholesale deliveries, and on-farm warehouse.
This is a hands-on position focused on accurately picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders for our farm store, home and wholesale deliveries, and regional shipping, specifically:
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Pack meat and perishable food products following food safety and temperature control standards
- Stage and organize completed orders for on-time pickup, delivery, and shipping
- Support in-store customer pickups with a friendly, professional attitude
- Assist with shipping and delivery preparation, including labeling, documentation, and packaging materials
- Maintain clean and organized fulfillment areas including packing stations, coolers, and freezers
- Follow inventory handling procedures including product rotation, lot tracking, and accurate placement
- Identify and report order discrepancies, inventory issues, or product concerns promptly
As part of our all-farm team, this person may occasionally cross-train on and/or cover other jobs at the enterprise, which may include animal chores, processing and/or packaging products (e.g. eggs, pet treats) and other tasks essential to the daily operations of the farm and business.

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds
- Ability stand, walk, bend and lift throughout shifts
- Some of this work is performed in our walk-in refrigerator and freezer, so candidates must be comfortable working in warm clothes for longer stretches in cold conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfort with basic technology including inventory software and Google Suite.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Reliable transport to and from this on-site position in Richmond, VT
- In order to be insured to operate farm vehicles, candidates must be age 18+ at the time of application, possess a valid driver’s license, and a clean motor vehicle record.
- Previous experience in fulfillment, warehousing, food service, retail, grocery and/or production environments is preferred but not required.
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 - $21.00
