Job description

Night Pastry Cook – Amy’s Bread
Location: Long Island City, NY
Schedule: 4 nights per week, including weekends
Hours: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Pay: $17–$18 per hour, plus a $10 night differential per shift

Amy’s Bread is looking for a dependable and hardworking Night Pastry Cook to join our production team in Long Island City.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen or bakery environment and able to follow recipes, production schedules, and instructions from supervisors.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with nightly pastry production
Prepare, portion, assemble, and finish pastry items according to recipes and specifications
Follow production lists and complete assigned tasks within scheduled production times
Maintain an organized and sanitary workstation
Properly store and label ingredients and finished products
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
Assist with cleaning and other production duties as needed
Work cooperatively with the pastry team to complete nightly production
Qualifications:

Previous bakery, pastry, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred
Line cook experience is also welcome
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
Dependable and punctual
Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Must be available for night shifts and weekends
Schedule:
6:00 PM–2:00 AM, 4 nights per week, including weekends.

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $16.50 - 20/hr
