Blue Aster Bakery is a micro-bakery based in Kingston, NY. We make rustic baked goods with a twist. We are inspired by the fruits and vegetables available at the farmers’ market, along with the grains, dairy, and other specialty products found within New York state. We are best known for our sablés, a French-style of shortbread available in both sweet and savory flavors.

Job description

I am looking for help making my specialty shortbread cookie boxes. This role may expand to include other responsibilities. Baking experience preferred but not necessary. The right person will be a quick learner, detail-oriented, clean, and organized. Is this you? Then come join me as my first employee!

Responsibilities:

• Preparing, mixing, baking, and packaging shortbread cookies
• Additional bakery tasks as needed (mixing dough, chopping fruit, etc.)
• Maintaining a clean working station, dishwashing (clean as you go)
• Following food safety protocols
• Communicating ingredient and packaging supply levels

Schedule: 8 hour shift on Mondays, potentially adding second shifts on Wednesdays depending on workload

Compensation: $22/hr, W2 employee
