Stone Bank Farm Market is a neighborhood market, a working farm and a community experience located in Stone Bank, Wisconsin. We offer seasonal produce, artisanal groceries, pasture-raised meats, and grab-n-go prepared foods. We believe in knowing where our food comes from, in shaking hands with the people who grow it and in honoring the land we live on. We have three areas of operations: the Farm, the Market and the Kitchen.

Job description

In the Kitchen, we create prepared foods for purchase in the Market and offer a select menu of seasonally inspired hot food items in the café located in the Market. The Café Cook works with and alongside the chefs in the Kitchen, specifically dedicated to preparing the made-to-order food items from the café.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and execute made to order dishes for the cafè

• Set-up, manage, and break-down cafè station

• Bake-off morning pastries (prior baking experience not required)

• Track and prepare mise en place for cafe items

• Participate in cafe menu development

• Assist with daily kitchen tasks, such as dish washing, order receiving, and dry storage organization

JOB REQUIREMENTS

● Professional kitchen experience preferred (1-3 years)

● Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds

• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment

• Creative, flexible and passionate about cooking seasonally

• Working collaboratively in a team environment

CAFE COOK
Do you love to create dishes with seasonal foods? Are you a team player that loves to be in the Kitchen? If so, we want YOU on our team. We’re looking for a reliable, dependable teammate to cook with our Chefs. The Cafe Cook will be dedicated to our made-to-order hot food items in our Cafe.

Here’s the scoop:
32-40 hours per week
Must be available Saturday-Sunday-Monday, other days are flexible, hours are 7:30am-3:30pm
$20-$24/hour based on experience

this position is: hourly, $20/hr +
