Carnes Crossroads is a nationally recognized agrihood community in Goose Creek, South Carolina, where a working farm serves more than 3,600 homes. Managed by CCMC in partnership with Convivial Foodscapes, LLC, our farm is dedicated to growing fresh, seasonal food while fostering community connections through sustainable agriculture.

Job description
Responsibilities
● Support Farm Director in all aspects of vegetable, fruit & herb production, including but not limited to seeding, planting, pest, disease and fertility management, field cultivation, irrigation planning, installation & repairs, harvesting and post harvest handling, record keeping, upholding product, food safety standards, etc.
● Support Farm Share program
● Provide tours of the Farm Store and Farm
● Provide friendly customer service both in person and by phone
● Assist POA team with events as needed
Required Qualifications and Skills
Qualified candidates must be able to work in various weather conditions, stand for extended periods of time, and are required to repeatedly lift and move up to 50 lbs. This position also requires occasional evenings and weekend work 3-4 times a month.
● At least 1 year of organic vegetable production experience on a similar or larger scale
● Timely and dependable
● Strong interpersonal communication skills
● Enthusiasm for local and sustainable agriculture
● A problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement, who is always learning, open to feedback and takes action as required
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
● Experience with farm equipment (operating a tractor, maintenance & repair)
● Bilingual English/Spanish

Compensation
this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
