General Manager Position
The General Manager position will report to the Chef-Owner and work in close conjunction with the Executive Chef and Cafe Manager. This role is responsible for supporting daily front-of-house operations & business marketing, upholding service standards, and ensuring consistent execution of hospitality across all service periods. The Assistant GM acts as a leader on the floor, supports FOH staff development, and serves as a key operational partner between service, bar, and kitchen.

Core Responsibilities
Support and oversee daily FOH operations across dining room, bar, café, and host functions
Participate in quality control and continually discussing with relevant parties opportunities for growth with respect to hospitality services.
Curating and growing our online presence and social media programs in a way that helps build the brand and reputation of the establishment.
Working to grow community brand awareness through marketing, sponsorships, and philanthropy.
Paying attention to the pulse of the surrounding communities to understand opportunities for the business to be a part of our diners’ lives.
Lead service during assigned shifts, maintaining flow, pacing, and hospitality standards
Work in conjunction with the Chef-Owner and Hospitality Manager Lead to implement steps of service, policies, and procedures
Serve as a point of escalation for guest concerns and service recovery
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of FOH staff
Assist with scheduling, labor management, and shift coverage as needed
Ensure service philosophy is consistently modeled and trained across the FOH team
Monitor FOH readiness, opening and closing SOPs, and side work completion
Support inventory awareness and operational needs in collaboration with all leadership teams
Uphold all food safety, alcohol, and labor compliance requirements
Pulling, compiling, and interpreting guest data from our POS system across all culinary and beverage programs.
Parsing service reports and ensuring alignment with reported guest experiences.
Preparing both the FOH & BOH for upcoming services in respect to guest interaction.
Manage sales and growth of the PDR program.
Job Requirements
Significant FOH and management experience required
Strong understanding of full-service restaurant
Proven ability to lead teams in a high-volume, service-driven environment
Social media expertise & passion required.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
An innate understanding of understated, intuitive service that anticipates guest needs without intrusion
Lead FOH team with calm authority
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation
this position is: salaried, varies DOE, $65,000.00 - $150,000.00
