Regener8 Farm and Retreat was founded in November of 2021 by David and Leila Centner, with the intention of providing nutritious food and educational opportunities for the students and families of the Centner Academy, and for the community at large. From its founding, Regener8 has grown quickly into a diverse operation with many types of growing systems, including 2.5 acres of market garden fields, a hydroponics operation (NFT tables, Grow Towers and Buckets), Aquaponics and Aquaculture, a diversified orchard with over 12 varieties of tropical and sub-tropical fruits, a cage-free egg layer operation, and bee hives. The future holds many plans for the farm, including mushroom production and an onsite farmers’ market. The wellness retreat is planned as a lushly landscaped and serene relaxation environment that will contain a meditation center, overnight lodging, dining hall, glamping area, spa/healing center, walking paths, recreational spaces, and water features.

At Regener8 Farm our mission is to grow nutrient dense foods using regenerative practices working from the ground up by feeding the soil and promoting a thriving farm ecology through biodiversity. We grow food to feed and connect with our community and to educate the next generation of young growers and consumers.
We are a large agri-tourism project looking for a well rounded and dedicated full time Farm Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate must be reliable, communicative, great at following instructions and have creative and observative skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Farm hands are involved in all the daily operations of the farm. From using the tractor and other farm/lawn equipment, to working in the greenhouse, hydro department, the fields, fixing irrigation, cleaning, mulching, fertilizing, pruning fruit trees and growing food from seed to harvest. Farm hands will assist in growing plants, harvesting and seeing the process through to distribution. You may also learn to spray with organic certified sprays. Prior experience with field work and tropical fruit is strongly preferred. Farm work involves being strong and physically able to withstand all types of weather conditions.
During the season we have a quick paced setting that can be demanding but extremely rewarding. Applicants must be able to lift 50 pounds unaided and must prepare themselves for 40 hours per week of outdoor labor in the South Florida climate. Proper attire is mandatory. Farmers may be called upon to work on the weekend for special events and weekday hours will be adjusted accordingly. You must understand that there will be weekends when your presence at the farm is required.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Seed starting, up- potting, fertilizing and plant propagation
- Harvesting; roots, greens, herbs, fruits, microgreens
- Washing and packing vegetables for individual sales, wholesale and the CSA program
- Utilizing tractor and skidsteer; using the bucket, brush hog, bed shaper, tiller
- Bed preparation; weeding, flame weeding, adding compost, raking evenly, moving irrigation, mulching pathways, fertilizing
- Use a rake, pitchfork and garden hoe appropriately
- Weed management- hand weed, compost, mulch and flame
- Transplanting: you must be able to squat
- Tropical fruit orchard experience strongly preferred
- Field maintenance (trellising, laying and removing row cover, etc.)
- Basic farm organization and knowledge of irrigation
- Minor cleaning
Requirements:
- Able to withstand all weather conditions
- Observative, organized, good listener
- Willingness to work as apart of a team
- Work efficiently
- Know when to ask questions
- Courage, integrity and grit
- Two years experience in landscape, farming or gardening.
- But having worked on a vegetable farm is preferred.
- One weekend day required every now and again
- Passing background check, work involves field trips with schools
Physical Requirements:

- Withstand varying and extreme weather conditions
- Endure prolonged periods of squatting, kneeling, standing and walking
