Company description
We are an Indigenous-led eco-village near Rockford, Alabama.
We primarily eat meat and vegetables (no breads, pastas, sugary foods or drinks)
We are a small, close-knit community, with villagers, workers, volunteers, builders, and guests periodically staying at the village for several weeks at a time.
We are looking for a reliable, capable, and community-minded Cook to take responsibility for preparing daily lunch and dinner for the village.
This is an opportunity for someone who is interested in living close to nature, participating in a small community, and experiencing life within an Indigenous-led environment.

You would be living and working within a small Indigenous-led village with its own culture, traditions, expectations, and community rules. Among those rules is that we do not permit alcohol, drugs, commercial tobacco or smoking of any kind.
The ability to approach this environment with respect, humility, discretion, and an open mind is essential.
This position is particularly well suited to someone who is looking for a change of pace, wants to spend time in nature, and is interested in contributing to a community rather than simply clocking in and out of a job.
We are especially interested in hearing from people who are genuinely excited by the opportunity to live close to nature, contribute to a small community, and become part of a natural environment.
Please apply only if you are comfortable with the community environment, village policies, and responsibilities described above.
