Company description

We are a certified organic diverse vegetable farm. We have a farm store that is open 6 days a week (Tuesday-Sunday) year-round. We have 6 high tunnels and an acre of field crops. We are a low-till farm utilizing cultural interventions, green manure, crop rotation, tarping, hand cultivating, and zero pesticides. We grow crops for several wholesale channels, restaurants, one farmers market, senior farm shares, CSAs, the on-site farm market, and an online farmers market. We rely almost solely on solar power to run the farm infrastructure apart from the diesel tractor.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Harvesting various vegetables
• Washing and packing vegetables
• Weeding, cultivating, and transplanting

Qualifications:

• Highly organized, ability to think through systems, and streamline processes
• Ability to be self-paced and independent
• Ability to lift 30 pounds often and 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand, kneel, or crouch for extended periods
• Great attitude while working outdoors in all weather

Hours and Work Season:

• September - November
• 12 - 20 hrs/ week
• Flexible schedule
• We will work together to figure out what days and times work best

Compensation

this position is: hourly, $15-20/hr
