Garden To Table empowers school communities with gardens and curriculum to engage all students in experiential outdoor education. Garden To Table provides gardens, curriculum, training and support to schools in Boulder County. Currently serving 18 elementary schools, our program connects with more than 300 teachers and more than 6,300 students. We provide everything a school needs to maintain a garden and use it for teaching and learning. Our Garden Team ensures gardens are thriving, our standards-based curriculum includes lesson plans for grades PreK through 5th addressing academic concepts while engaging students in gardening tasks, and our Program Team provides instructional resources and consultation to support teachers in program implementation. Job description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with the Community Outreach Director to bring in $50,000 in new sponsorships for the 23rd Annual Boulder Garden Tour
- The Boulder Garden Tour is Garden to Table’s largest annual fundraising event , and will take place on June 27, 2027
- Work with the Community Outreach Director to bring in $50,000 in new programmatic/garden funding (local sponsorships, philanthropic gifts, foundation gifts, etc…)
- Our organization has had a large focus on grant funding for the past few years, and our goal is to increase our presence in Boulder County by working more closely with private donors, foundations, and businesses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 2+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Experience with donor relations, fundraising campaigns, and sponsorships
- Strong preference for experience and connections in the region served by the Boulder Valley School District
- Excellent organizational and project-management skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects independently
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with donors, volunteers, community members, and colleagues
- Commitment to Garden to Table’s mission and values
- Self-motivated, reliable, and outgoing
- U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent resident status required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with donor databases/CRM systems
- Experience working in a small nonprofit or similarly collaborative environment
- Basic graphic design or content-creation skills
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Compensation
this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $30.00 - $45.00
