Job description

As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the kitchen and culinary team. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading the preparation, cooking, presentation, and execution of high quality food for catered events and daily operations.

• Directing and supervising all kitchen staff and culinary operations.

• Hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and evaluating kitchen employees.

• Developing and maintaining menus, recipes, production standards, and presentation guidelines.

• Managing food purchasing, inventory, vendor relationships, and product quality.

• Controlling food costs, labor costs, and kitchen expenses while maintaining company quality standards.

• Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.

• Overseeing production schedules and event preparation to ensure timely and accurate execution.

• Coordinating with management, sales staff, event coordinators, and service staff to ensure successful event execution.

• Maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and efficient kitchen environment at all times.

• Managing kitchen staffing levels to meet operational demands.

• Monitoring equipment maintenance and identifying operational improvements.

• Assisting with menu pricing, budgeting, and profitability initiatives.

• Upholding The Fluted Mushroom's culinary standards, culture, and commitment to client satisfaction. You may also be expected to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support business operations.

Compensation

this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
