Join Our Gourmet Food Flagship Store — We’re Hiring a General Manager

Are you passionate about food, service, and creating a memorable experience for discerning customers? We’re a premium gourmet food store seeking an energetic, organized, and hands‑on Assistant General Manager to help lead our operations.

We pride ourselves on curating the finest specialty foods — artisan cheese, charcuterie, fine olive oils, imported delicacies, fresh gourmet provisions and the very best meats, fish and produce. Our clientele expects high standards, personal service, and attention to detail.

The Role: General Manager

• As our General Manager, you will:
• Support and trouble shoot for all department managers
• Coach and train the cashiers, delivery staff, and grocery stock team
• Ensure exceptional customer service at every interaction
• Oversee all deliveries — scheduling, routing, and quality control
• Manage opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and POS reconciliation
• Assist with product ordering, vendor relations, and inventory management
• Maintain organized displays, stock rotations, and front-of-store merchandising
• Handle special requests, customer issues, and daily workflows
• Work closely with the owner/wholesale buyers to decide on new products

What We’re Looking For

• Strong customer-service skills and ability to delight a discerning clientele
• Excellent organizational abilities — multitasking, scheduling, tracking
• Flexibility in hours: mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays as needed
• Food / grocery experience is a big plus (fine foods, specialty shops, delis)
• Comfort supervising a small team, delegating tasks, and motivating staff
• Experience in cash handling, POS systems, and reconciling sales
• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn ordering / buying / vendor management
• Reliable, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
