Job description
The Role
At Gustiamo, we don’t do "sales", we build community. We work every day to cultivate a thriving network of food makers and eaters. As our Wholesale Business Development Manager, your core mission will be to take care of our existing wholesale customers and bring new chefs, bakers, restaurateurs, and food purveyors into our community and share our exceptional Italian ingredients with them.
What You Will Do
- Deepen Current Partnerships: Nurture and expand relationships with our current wholesale customers. Cross-sell, up-sell, provide customer service.
- Grow the Community: Identify and build relationships with new potential wholesale clients, including restaurants, bakeries, small-scale distributors, and specialty food stores.
- Expand Our Footprint: Lead growth initiatives in new geographic areas across the USA.
- Engage in the Field: Visit current and potential customers to share our story and our products.
- Collaborate: Work hand-in-hand with our Wholesale Program Manager and assist with specific sales initiatives.
What You Bring to the Table
Core Requirements:
- Language: At least basic Italian, fluent English (written and spoken).
- Location: Live less than a one-hour commute from our warehouse in the Bronx.
- Passion: A genuine love and appreciation for real, good Italian food.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable navigating computers, Excel, and other standard workplace tools.
- Culture Add: A highly collaborative team player with a fantastic attitude.
- Plus: Previous background in sales or community-led growth.
- Plus: Familiarity with specialty foods, Italian food culture, or the restaurant industry.

Compensation
this position is: salaried, $64,350 - $75,000
