Job description

CREATE GREAT FOOD

• Create, refine, test, and launch new recipes.
• Maintain accurate recipe, preparation, and quality-standard documentation.
• Consistently execute recipes with precision and attention to detail.

CREATE GREAT EXPERIENCES

• Build meaningful connections with museum visitors, locals, and fellow team members.
• Expedite and deliver food orders with a focus on quality, presentation, and timing.
• Nurture peer guidance and contribute to a supportive team environment.

KEEP THE CAFÉ RUNNING STRONG

• Complete daily food preparation and maintain consistent product quality.
• Keep workspaces, equipment, and dining areas clean, organized, and ready for service.
• Open and close the café according to established procedures.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who is intentional, dependable, organized, curious, and genuinely excited about hospitality.

You bring:

• Ability to work weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food service experience.
• Strong guest service and visitor engagement skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and reliable approach to work.
• Ability to maintain quality and consistency in both performance and product.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to learn, contribute ideas, and support your teammates.

THE DETAILS

This is an active, hands-on position. Team members should be comfortable with:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
• Reaching, pushing, pulling, handling, and repetitive motions.
• Speaking, hearing, reading, and seeing as required to perform the job.
• Working in moderate to light noise.
• Working around heat sources including ovens, coffee makers, and steam tables.
• Safely handling kitchen equipment such as knives and meat slicers.
• Using cleaning agents including dish detergents and sanitizers.
