Job description

The Warehouse Coordinator plays a central role in Retaaza's supply chain operations, overseeing the flow of local farm products and value added goods from receiving through delivery. This position coordinates the daily receiving, sorting, and packing of goods sourced, manages inventory accuracy and organization, and serves as a key point of contact for vendors throughout the fulfillment process. The Warehouse Coordinator will serve as the back up delivery driver and will periodically deliver local produce to customers across the metro Atlanta area via Retaaza vehicles.

This role requires strong attention to detail and a hands-on, problem-solving approach to ensure customers consistently receive fresh, high-quality products. The Warehouse Coordinator will help bring structure and consistency to warehouse operations — from inventory systems to receiving procedures — while remaining actively involved in the physical work of the warehouse floor. This position is based out of our warehouse on the Westside of Atlanta.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality of products
• Follow Food Safety and Quality Assurance procedures for receiving, storage and transportation of all products
• Serve as the on the ground lead for the Food Safety program, maintaining accurate records and escalating any issues that arise
• Pick and pack orders accurately for outgoing customer shipments and for internal customers
• Organize and maintain inventory levels, ensuring proper storage and rotation of products
• Update the internal inventory management system
• Conduct weekly and monthly inventory cycle counts
• Assist in leading the weekly Mixed Produce Box volunteer event
• Manage the flow of donations and compost to partners on regular basis
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times
• Unload incoming shipments and store items using shared Forklift
• Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport orders to customers in metro Atlanta
• Interact with customers to assist with unloading, confirming delivery details, and address any concerns
• Coordinate with with warehouse partners to work collaboratively when needed
• Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse processes

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food distribution warehouse setting preferred
• Order selector, picking and packing experience preferred
• Receiving and quality control experience preferred
• Fork lift certification required
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles, subject to passing a pre-employment drug test and maintaining a clean driving record required to fulfill job duties
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and experience with video conferencing
• Experience with google sheets and/or inventory management systems
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs to waist height, as well as sit and stand for long periods of time
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled warehouse environments and outdoor conditions, including periods of extreme hot or cold weather, and potentially other weather conditions
• Responsible for minor vehicle management (fueling, tire pressure, etc)
• Willingness to go through first aid certification

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $24.00 - $28.00
