Company description
Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center is a seed-to-mouth venture that builds powerful brands for organic farmers and organic food makers. Founded in Brooklyn, NY, in 2005 and operating remotely today from Northern California, the company works at the intersection of global organic farming, the U.S. retail market, and the culinary and cultural experience of eating and cooking.
Ger-Nis connects organic farmers and eaters through direct, transparent supply chains and the sharing of information. We carve out market power for farmers and farming communities, connecting high-quality producers with consumers seeking health, sustainability, and truly direct food systems that can evolve and adapt to the chaos and challenges of the modern world.
Services include brand creation, strategy and identity, packaging and merchandising design, produce innovation, web design, marketing, PR, sales/new business development, storytelling, photography and video, recipe development, and consumer-driven commodity education.
Fresh herbs are where the Ger-Nis story began and remain a defining passion and area of expertise. Through the Herbal Roots brand and the founder’s ongoing work as a culinary herb expert, Ger-Nis continues to support herb-focused culinary ventures through food writing, hands-on education, and tangible products. While Ger-Nis works across fresh produce, its primary focus is organic fruit, with an emphasis on building strong, values-driven Latin American fruit brands. Its expertise spans the agricultural, commercial, and culinary dimensions of the industry, connecting producers, markets, and consumers through brand development, sales, marketing, and education.
