Full-Time Farm Caretaker, Honesdale, PA
Location: Honesdale, PA (Wayne County). 80-acre main farm plus a 180-acre parcel up the road
Schedule: Full time
Salary: $58,000 per year
Start date: As soon as possible, ideally by October 23
Housing: Not provided (local applicants preferred)

About the Role
We're looking for a dependable, hands-on caretaker to run day-to-day operations on a private hobby farm. The animals come first. The right person enjoys working with livestock, is comfortable on a tractor, and takes pride in keeping a property in great shape.

Responsibilities
Animal care (top priority): daily feeding, water and health checks for the horse, cows, goats, pig and chickens; cleaning stalls, pens and coops; working with the vet and farrier; keeping feed and supplies stocked.
Grounds and fields: mowing and lawn care; preparing, planting and maintaining fields on both parcels; operating and maintaining the tractor and attachments.
Maintenance: general repairs on the house, barns and outbuildings; fencing, gates and water lines; winterizing and
snow clearing.
Property oversight: regular walk-throughs and light security checks, with prompt reporting of issues.

Qualifications
Hands-on livestock experience, including horses and cattle. Safe and experienced on a tractor and attachments.
Practical carpentry, fencing and mechanical skills. Reliable, self-directed and able to work outdoors in all weather.
Valid d.license . Available for occasional weekend or holiday coverage.

Compensation

this position is: salaried, $50,000 - $75,000
