Adams Apple Orchard (47 Ludlow LLC) is a new and upcoming orchard located outside Ithaca, NY. It is approximately 20 acres of organic apples and hazelnuts surrounded by the lovely Finger Lakes countryside on the east side of Cayuga Lake. The first hazelnut trees were planted in 2024 and the first apple trees in 2026 - the remainder to be planted in 2027. All production is intended to be organic. Since it is an up and coming orchard enterprise, there is lots of room to collaborate with the owner and consultant on production, marketing, and sales agendas.

Job description

ORCHARD MANAGER wanted for 20-acre ecologically managed apple and hazelnut orchard in New York’s Finger Lakes region (near Ithaca). Requirements are minimum 5 years’ experience with apple orchard production in ecological orchard settings, ability to safely operate and maintain standard orchard equipment, assemble and supervise small orchard crew, manage post-harvest activities including storage, packing, sales, and delivery, as well as maintain detailed production records, develop annual operating budgets, and work with admin-level support. Compensation

this position is: salaried, $60,406 - $75,000
