Pearl Street Caviar is a caviar distributor founded in 2019 and based in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We supply customers and restaurants in the US and Puerto Rico with world-class caviar. We also run a small restaurant & bar, Pearl’s Dive, downstairs.

Job description

Location: in-person at our HQ in Red Hook, Brooklyn

Schedule: 30 - 40 hours a week, mix of evening and daytime. Through mid January, with the potential to continue.

$18 - $22 per hour

At Pearl Street Caviar and our restaurant, Pearl’s Dive, the Operations Assistant is a cross-team role, supporting primarily our caviar distribution team, but also our restaurant team throughout the week. This role’s primary responsibilities are as listed below. We highly value adaptability, as we are a small company, and often urgent tasks arise that need to be prioritized. This is a great role for someone who enjoys pivoting amongst a variety of tasks, and there is a lot of room for growth as you become more knowledgeable about the company, caviar, and our operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Deliveries, pick ups, and errands
-Running, bussing, food receiving, and food prep
-Support for caviar and shipment packing
-Event serving

QUALIFICATIONS

-Strong communication and organizational skills
-High attention to detail
-Ability to multitask
-Problem solving skills
-English, native or fluent
-Driver’s license, comfortable driving in the city
-Comfortable sitting & standing for long periods of time
-Able to lift 50 pounds

Compensation

this position is: hourly, varies DOE, $18.00 - $22.00
