Company description
Charlie Parker Provisions is a chef-driven catering and events company serving private and corporate clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our work ranges from weekday corporate dining programs to intimate private dinners, cocktail parties, celebrations, and full-service events. We are a small, collaborative team with a focus on thoughtful food, quality ingredients, consistency, and warm hospitality.
We’re looking for an experienced Chef de partie to join our culinary team and play an integral role in both our day-to-day kitchen production and catered events.
WHY CHARLIE PARKER PROVISIONS
For someone coming from a traditional restaurant environment, this position offers something a little different: the consistency of a primarily weekday daytime schedule paired with the creativity and variety of catering and private events.
Our menus change regularly, and no two weeks look exactly alike.
More importantly, we’re a small company. You won’t be one cook among dozens. You’ll work directly with our Chef/Owner and have the opportunity to take real ownership of your work and contribute meaningfully to how our kitchen operates and the experiences we create for our clients.
We care about making excellent food, taking care of our clients, and being people our teammates can count on.
Job description
This is a hands-on culinary position for someone who is organized, dependable, efficient, and genuinely enjoys cooking.
The chef de partie will work closely with our Chef/Owner, Charlie Parker, and culinary team to execute daily production for corporate dining programs, private clients, and events. Our menus change frequently, so we’re looking for someone with strong culinary fundamentals who is comfortable working across a variety of cuisines, ingredients, and service styles.
Our typical weekday schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 6:30 AM–2:00 PM, based in our Redwood City kitchen. Weekly hours and exact start/end times may vary depending on production, deliveries, and our event calendar.
As events are booked, this chef will also work select evenings and weekends, both in our kitchen and on-site at events throughout the Bay Area.
Because we’re a small team, this is a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work. We value people who communicate well, notice what needs to be done, take pride in the details, and are willing to jump in wherever needed.
