Job description
We focus on supplying top NYC restaurants and specialty retail shop with cheese, charcuterie, olive oil, butter and both domestic and imported specialty products. We're a small, hard-working crew who take pride in what we do and take care of our people. Distribution may not be the flashiest part of the food system, but without it food doesn't get anywhere it needs to be. We strive for direct relationships with producers wherever possible. The relationships with talented chefs and producers allow us to give feedback and insights both direction and find solutions for both parties. We strive to improve a little bit each day and treat our team, customers and producers well. We are growing and new opportunities will emerge over the coming months and years. We are hiring a Production Associate / Driver to join our Brooklyn warehouse team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-Make and pack customer orders accurately and on time
-Cut and wrap cheeses and specialty products
-Prepare gourmet house-brand products
-Operate culinary and warehouse machinery
-Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and running smoothly
-Ensure food safety SOPs are carried out in all production spaces
-Drive a sprinter van on a delivery route or to pickup products if needed
-Pitch in wherever the team needs you
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
-Experience in a kitchen, restaurant, food production, or warehouse — any of these works
-Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious — takes pride in good work
-Experience driving a Sprinter van in NYC - valid driver’s license and clean driving record required to fulfill job duties
-Able to lift up to 60 lbs and maintain efficient, high-quality work throughout the day
-Experience operating culinary or warehouse related machinery preferred
-Self motivated while upholding a team spirit
-Must be authorized to work in the US
