Hungry for experience? We're looking to hire an editorial intern for our National edition!
TastingTable.com, the daily email devoted to the best of food and drink culture, seeks a self-motivated intern in New York City. This unpaid internship will offer opportunities to experience the entire editorial process, with an emphasis on providing fact checking support for both the National edition.
Potential interns should be willing to commit at least 2 afternoon hours Monday through Friday to the job. This position requires obsessive attention to detail as well as research and writing skills. The intern will work remotely, but must be available for weekly in-person editorial meetings and must have telephone and Internet access for remote fact checking. The intern should have good knowledge of the National food scene.
Maturity and motivation are musts: Most of the work will be done independently and organization and time management skills are essential. Interested candidates do not need to be students in order to apply, but Tasting Table will work with college students on the process of doing the internship for school credit.
