Great Performances, a New York City event planning/catering firm, is seeking a Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator. Great Performances promotes organic food and sustainable resources through our very own
Katchkie Farm. We are recognized industry wide for our passion and devotion to hospitality, the arts, creative culinary design and for providing outstanding service.
Responsibilities:

Coordinating our Public Relations activity with outside firm

Overseeing the content and layout of GP’s website; daily updates

Creating monthly e-newsletters

Interacting with GP’s graphic designer on advertising and projects as needed
-
Overseeing part time social media coordinator and intern

Spearheading GP’s Guest Chef Program with the James Beard Foundation

Creating a marketing presence at promotional events throughout the year
-
Participating in marketing efforts at company cafes; interacting with cafe managers
-
Maintaining and updating the photo library; scheduling photography Candidate should be comfortable working with every sector of the company, from sales to culinary to accounting to our Sylvia Center affiliate.
Requirements:

Candidate must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work evening or weekend events as needed.

Organizational and good communication skills are essential as well as a proactive approach to work

Computer skills are a must. In-Design, Photoshop experience is a plus
-
Excellent writing skills, food and special event knowledge preferred

We are seeking an individual with a minimum 2 to 4 years of Marketing PR experience and references.
