About Belcampo Inc We are an ambitious start up with a growing organic farm-to-table business in California that currently has one store in Marin and plans to expand into four additional markets by the end of 2013.
Our meat is raised on our ten thousand acre farm in Northern California's Shasta Valley. We have our own butchery and processing plant 15 minutes from our farm that practices humane handling for our animals. Our retail shop - Belcampo Meat Co. - is an old-fashioned butcher shop with a restaurant, deli and grocery.

Human Resources Manager
Belcampo California is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager of Belcampo California is responsible for implementing excellent human resources practices including recruiting, ongoing evaluations and employee benefit distribution. The Manager will be key is assuring a great working environment and legal compliance for all three of our California based entities (Farm, Butchery and Meat Co.). This position offers the possibility of advancement as our company grows and includes full health and dental benefits. This position is based out of Oakland, CA and reports directly to the Assistant to the CEO.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintains work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions with input from managers.
- Maintains staff organization by implementing a consistent recruiting and interviewing and on-boarding program; assisting managers with candidate selection as needed; conducting and analyzing exit interviews.
- Maintaining proper compensation adjustments via scheduling and conducting job evaluations; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions;
- Ensures planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
- Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
- Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records including write-ups, on-boarding and termination paperwork.

Qualifications:
- 1-3+ years in Human Resources
- Experience with Benefits administration
- Performance management
- Understanding of compensation and wage structure
- Extensive understanding of employment law and laws against sexual harassment
- Excellent organizational skills

Salary: 45K+ includes medical, dental and vision + paid vacation.
