SEEKING QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER FOR HIGH-VOLUME FOOD PRODUCTION FACILITY AT GROWING BROOKLYN START-UP

Sweet Roots is a healthy meal delivery service that empowers clients to eat exactly the way they want without the hassle of planning, shopping, and chopping. We plan personalized menus, source top notch ingredients, and deliver it all prepped and portioned right to their doors.

We're looking for a rock star with stellar leadership skills to oversee quality control in our Brooklyn production facility. You'll be at the helm of our growing kitchen team ensuring the delivery of a consistent, top-notch product. You're perfect for the job if you are a super organized, process oriented, people person.

Your responsibilities:
- Oversee the kitchen and packing teams making sure that the Sweet Roots bags are produced fresh, on time, and without errors
- Implement and train teams on consistent, repeatable processes with an eye towards continually improving efficiency and quality
- Assist in recruiting, hiring and management of prep kitchen team
- Train and mentor the kitchen and packing teams, helping them to achieve their goals within the company
- Oversee proper food rotation systems, facility upkeep (walk-ins, dry storage, prep kitchens, freezers) and compliance with New York Health Department guidelines

Your qualifications:
Strong culinary knowledge
2+ years of management experience
NYC Food handlers license or equivalent

Specs:
40 hours per week, Wednesday-Sunday, 9am-5pm
Salary, DOE
Must be available to start ASAP
We are based in Brooklyn near the 2, 3, 4, 5, and C trains
