About the Position

The basics:
$100/Shift with room to grow
8 Hr Shift at least once a week in Sunset Park Brooklyn (34 35th St)
You will be in charge of chocolate production which includes tasks such as melting, tempering and molding chocolates as well as cleaning and washing equipment

Initially, you will be working alongside the Founder/Chocolatier in producing fresh gourmet chocolates on a weekly basis. You will be practicing various chocolate-making techniques such as making ganache, tempering dark, milk, and white chocolate, molding, decorating, and packaging. Production dates may vary but the hours will typically be from 8am - 4pm with room to grow as business picks up.

As you grow at the company, you have the opportunity to take on more ownership and assist in training and supervising new hires, placing orders for ingredients, managing inventory, and participating in special events, and sales events.

Requirements:
Pastry and baking experience a must
Food Handler's License a must
Chocolate experience a plus
Culinary school background preferred
Eager to learn
Stellar references
Positive attitude
Constantly working on improving his/her craft
Must have food handler's license
