Job description
Sfoglini Pasta is looking for a creative and talented individual to join our growing team. The pasta maker will be responsible for helping production of fresh and dry pasta products in Sfoglini’s pasta making facility. This is a hands on position where the majority of your time will be creating pastas with our co-founder Steve Gonzalez in accordance with Sfoglini’s unique recipes and product quality standards. Some prior kitchen experience is preferred, but not mandatory. You must have the ability to lift 50 pound bags of flour as part of the production process. We are looking for a person with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and passion for artisanal products.
COMPENSATION
This position is PAID. There will be a 1 month paid trial period, and possibility of joining full-time following completion of trial period.
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Sfoglini is a Brooklyn based producer of small batch, freshly extruded pastas made from some of the finest organic grains produced in America. We use traditional Italian bronze dies which give our pasta a textured, porous surface and we air dry at low temperatures to preserve the most nutrition and flavor. Sfoglini also creates a number of unique seasonal pastas using local ingredients and spices from city gardens, breweries and restaurants.
