An opportunity exists for a fully qualified foodservice designer to join the team of Mark Stech-Novak’s Consultancy MSN-RCD, who operates out of San Francisco, and who is acting on behalf of a client in this contract. Applications are invited from candidates who can comply with the following:
The post will be based in London, UK and within the offices of the client who is an international high tech organisation.
This will be Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EAME) and, whilst travel will be necessary, this will be kept to a minimum through the use of communication technology.

Role and Responsibilities will consist of but will not be limited to:-
Working with MSN-RCD and the client’s culinary team to:

Participate in and develop programmes for the implementation of projects;

Develop concepts which reflect the client’s standards and also local requirements;

Prepare all related schematic, detail designs including plans, elevations/sections, MEPH services and all other related drawing packages;

Investigate/develop and assemble complete equipment packages including any local regional items (speciality foods) with this library to also include lower cost options should value engineering become a necessity;

Prepare fully detailed specifications to support and enforce the drawings and design;

Prepare and constantly update budget cost estimates;

Coordinate the issue of projects to tender, receive bids and provide evaluation reports.
Additionally

Investigate, research and assemble a schedule of suitable companies to tender both locally and internationally, subject to the project size and complexity;

Receive, cross check and coordinate all manufacturing drawings;

Receive, cross check and coordinate all associated design disciplines, drawings, visuals and details;
-
Maintain a continuous dialogue with all members of the design, supply, manufacturing and installation participants through to completion.

External appointments
Where the candidates will be responsible for the selection and recommendation of suitable global foodservice design consultants and partners, who will be responsible for the projects, from space planning and all other design aspects through to completion. MSN-RCD will be responsible for such engagements.

Liaison and Communication
Act as the liaison between the client’s culinary team and the foodservice partner as well as the MSN-RCD team at all times. In this regard the candidate will be required to demonstrate a good command of English, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and knowledge of all associated technologies.
Where the candidate will negotiate all contract fees, tendering costs and potential bulk equipment purchasing methods on specific equipment requirements.
The client’s needs range from small in-office pantries through medium size kitchens to larger kitchens, cafes and serveries. Standards in terms of layouts, equipment needs and costs are to be developed for each of these outlets.
